Sad News: Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Raymond king passed away some hours ago.

Previous Nigerian goalkeeper, Raymond King is dead, aged 52.

He passed on Monday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital just before sufficient treatment was going to be given to him.

His previous colleague, Tajudeen Disu uncovered the news to Completesportsnigeria.com on New year Day.

Disu said the late King was being treated at the General Hospital in Ijaye seven days prior, yet his conditions never made strides.

"He just passed on some hours back at the LASUTH (Lagos State University Teaching Hospital).

"He was exchanged from the State Hospital, Abeokuta to Ikorodu General Hospital yesterday when his condition was not making strides.

"At the point when the news got to the Commissioner for Health in Lagos (Olajide Idris), he coordinated that he (King) ought to be taken to LASUTH for better treatment and it was tonight on Monday he arrived and LASUTH let us know at first they didn't have power to start treatment or fuel to run their generator.

"In any case, when they in the long run began to set up their gear to treat him he was at that point panting for air and he passed on," Disu said.

Ruler was an individual from the Flying Eagles squad in 1979/80.

He made his name in football playing for the Shooting Stars of Ibadan.
